Heavy Lift UAV KEEL Pro hovers Over Jingye Lake | TJU Crabapple Blossom Season

On April 5, Tianjin University held its 2025 “Crabapple Blossom Season” Campus Open Day, coinciding with the university’s 130th anniversary. Invited to participate, ZHT Aero showcased its industrial-grade heavy lift UAV KEEL Pro, demonstrating the power of low-altitude hard-core technology and the fruitful results of university-enterprise collaborative innovation. As a key tech enterprise incubated by the Tianjin University Institute for Innovation, we uphold the scientific spirit of “pragmatism and innovation,” and have partnered with the School of Marine Science and Technology to co-establish a base for innovation and entrepreneurship, building a new model of deep integration between academia and industry.

At the event site, crowds gathered by Jingye Lake as the KEEL Pro heavy lift UAV quickly drew attention. Nearly a thousand students and visiting guests paused to watch, their eyes—especially the children’s—filled with curiosity and wonder. In this moment, industrial technology met humanistic spirit, sparking inspiration at this century-old institution.

With guidance from our staff, the audience was safely ushered to designated viewing areas. At 11:00 AM, under the control of a professional pilot, KEEL Pro took to the skies. When it completed its half-hour flight across the lake and landed smoothly, applause and the sound of camera shutters instantly lit up the lakeside atmosphere.

KEEL Pro: 70KG Payload & Extended Endurance

The KEEL Pro heavy lift UAV on display boasts a 70kg payload capacity, a modular design for flexible task configuration, and a compact 2100mm wheelbase, making it smaller than other models in its class. It can be rapidly deployed in just 3 minutes by two operators! With a lightweight airframe of only 36kg (ver. A12XL, excluding battery), it leads the pack in payload capability. It offers 55 minutes of endurance with a 30kg load, setting a new benchmark for efficiency. Equipped with dual RTK centimeter-level positioning, 18m/s wind resistance, and precise PID tuning, it is a rock-solid performer—ideal for precision transport of high-value cargo. Making heavy-lift flight smarter and extreme missions more effortless.

Looking ahead, we will deepen cooperation with Tianjin University in cutting-edge fields such as advanced composite materials and swarm intelligence algorithms, jointly exploring strategic emerging applications like smart oceans and three-dimensional urban governance. Together, we aim to see more innovations from Tianjin University soar across the blue skies and vast seas of a tech-powered nation.
